The social networks are platforms with high potential to expose your brand, your content, your products. As a consequence, the traffic you can generate to your site also represents a significant potential source of income.
The previous description should be the logical sequence of events and so usually happens… when you do things right!
Many people think that the internet is a vast virtual space, almost like thinking about all the oceans on Earth together. And they are right.
Many people think that anything you leave in that ocean to dive into the water has no boundaries to reach anywhere. If you throw a bottle in San Francisco, probably one day it will come to Japan. This is also true.
But while these two statements are true, it is also true that more and more people are “throwing objects” to “Internet ocean” right now and the more objects throw and the more colorful they are, so the chances of that are eventually “fish ” for someone.
Social networks and Twitter, in particular, are no exception to this. In a social network where thousands of messages are posted worldwide by minute, it would be naive to think that publishing a single Tweet would generate some response from the world just because is exposed to all.
Twitter represents an extraordinary opportunity to show ourselves to others and to attract people, traffic that can be translated as money. But before doing so, we must understand how it works to use it in the best way possible.
In the following posts we will discuss some of the features of Twitter and how to work with it to get the most out from this platform.
- How do you use Twitter?
- Your target audience
- As you grow your network
- As follow your network
- What do you offer?
- Where do you get your content?
I’ve used Twitter to promote my links for some time. I prefer it to Facebook, because it’s so much easier to get followers there. I usually promote my new blogs on Twitter as soon as I publish them, following them up with a post or two linking to older blogs. As long as you don’t keep posting the same links over and over, too closely together, it should be fine. I’ve never had any problems doing it that way.
Hi Mark, thanks for sharing your experience with Twitter. Like you, I usually share every new post on Twitter as well as on other social networks, and I agree that Twitter has a more excellent dynamic than Facebook in terms of generating more visits with less content in the same period.
In fact, when you consistently publish several tweets a day on different topics related to your niche and linked to your website, visits are greatly enhanced.
Facebook has another dynamic, it is also advantageous but requires another type of engagement.
I will be following closely your upcoming posts on getting the most out of the Twitter social platform for affiliate marketing. So far, in 4 years of online marketing, I have not tapped into that platform much at all. It comes down to not having the time and also I was under the impression that it was not that effective (compared to some of the other platforms like Instagram and Pinterest).
Most definitely I do want to tap into that platform if it makes sense and with the lessons that you are going to post, I will be able to learn and ask questions as you publish the lessons. I am sure that I will pick up a lot of tips and advice that will finally push me over the edge to get started seriously with Twitter. I look forward to your coming posts! Thanks…
Hi Dave, thanks for following my posts. What I can tell you is that when you make a work plan to publish around 10 to 15 Tweets a day with valuable content, traffic to your site increases significantly. So it would be a good idea to give this platform a chance.
Hey! I love your site! I landed here after searching about the potential there is in affiliate marketing. And have continued reading other post of yours and you deliver very useful information in all of them.
